Alma Hernán Benedí, born in Madrid, currently enjoys a varied career as a soloist, chamber musician, and as an orchestral musician.

After finishing her studies at Padre Antonio Soler Conservatory in El Escorial, where she graduated in 2011 with the “Extraordinary Prize”, Alma moved to London to undertake her Bachelor studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Louise Hopkins, where she graduated with distinction and also receivesd the Collaborative Barbican Award for her work as a director of a performance at the Milton Court Theatre in London.

In 2016, Alma tought at “El Sistema” in El Salvador, and after she continued her studies with Rafael Rosenfeld in Musik-Akademie Basel. She obtained a Master's degree in Pedagogy and Performance with distinction and received the award for the best Master's Pedagogy work.

Alma has taken part in festivals such as Mendelssohn on Mull and IMS Prussia Cove in the UK, Yellow Barn in the US, and she has collaborated with different orchestras such as the Budapest Festival Orchestra, GMJO, Musique des Lumières, Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich.

Alma has played in many concert halls and has toured throughout Europe, South Korea and China. In addition, Alma has a great interest in teaching and creating multidisciplinary artistic projects.

After having won the Sándor Végh competition in Budapest Alma will have the great opportunity of performing as a soloist with Budapest Festival Orchestra in June 2025.
