Click here to view season passes for the 2020-2021 season of the Budapest Festival Orchestra.

The 2020-2021 program of the Budapest Festival Orchestra is accessible from the menu “Concerts and Tickets”, under the option “Calendar” or in our online concert booklet.

Season pass sales for the general public begin on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 10.00 a.m. BFO Patrons and Fortissimo level members of the BFO Friends loyalty program have the option to purchase tickets early.

Single ticket sales and flexible season pass sales for concerts included in season passes begin for the general public on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 10.00 a.m. BFO Patrons who are members of the Conductor’s Circle, or are Gold- and silver-level Benefactors, as well as Forte and Fortissimo level members of the BFO Friends loyalty program, have the option to purchase tickets early.

There is no handling fee for online purchases. For the sake of our environment, we ask you not to print your tickets when attending events at venues offering electronic ticket checks (Müpa Budapest, Castle Garden). For concerts at these venues, please save your electronic ticket (in pdf format) to your phone and present it at the entrance to the concert hall.

E-season passes are fully valid electronic season passes that grant concert admission. The office of the BFO is currently closed, but should the situation related to the pandemic change, and if you would like to exchange your e-season pass for a paper ticket, you can do so in person at the BFO’s offices through August 31, 2020. Please save the electronic season pass (in pdf form) received by email to your phone and present it at the entrance to the concert hall.

Please be sure to check your spam folder as well!

In the current epidemiological situation, SZÉP Cards, and OTP Cafeteria Cards cannot be used to make a purchase. Should the situation change, it will of course be possible to use these forms of payment when making purchases in person.

Flexible season pass

When single tickets go on sale in June, you may also buy “flexible” season passes, allowing you to choose the 5 to 10 performances you want to see. Included is a discount of 15–20% compared to the price of single tickets. The discount is applied when purchasing your tickets in the same transaction.

Guests in wheelchairs

Subject to the availability of seats, visitors in wheelchairs may request a free ticket up to one week before the concert by sending an email to Companions are eligible for a 50% discount.

Ticket replacement

Rewarding the loyalty of our Patrons and BFO Friends

If you are a BFO Patron or a Fortissimo level member of our loyalty program, and cannot attend a concert, you have the option to exchange your tickets for free. You can notify the BFO office one month prior to the season pass concert you are unable to attend. Depending on the availability of seats for the replacement concert, you will be provided with tickets to the replacement concert 30 days in advance. You can arrange for replacement tickets via phone, email or in person (the latter only at the BFO office, if the epidemiological situation allows us).

Those who are not BFO Patrons or have not yet reached the Fortissimo level of our loyalty program may also request ticket replacement services. In this case, a handling fee of 500 HUF per ticket will apply.

Waiting list

For sold-out performances, Forte and Fortissimo members of our loyalty program will be placed on a waiting list. Should someone cancel or request ticket replacement, we will notify those on the waiting list of the possibilities. This service will be available from September, 2020.

Please avoid making purchases on the Viagogo website.

As many of you have pointed out, is charging several times what we do for tickets to the Budapest Festival Orchestra’s concerts.

We are not under contract with the above website and have no influence on the prices they have established there.

Do not allow yourselves to be cheated and overcharged!

The easiest ways to buy tickets to our concerts is still online through the website, without administration costs, or in person, should the epidemiological situation improve, at the Budapest Festival Orchestra’s office, as well as at concert venue ticket offices.
