Bánk, László

László Bánk was born in 1947 and started learning the cello at the age of 7. Having graduated from the Béla Bartók Conservatory, in 1967 he went on to study at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. In 1972 he joined the Hungarian State Opera ensemble and has been a cellist with the Budapest Festival Orchestra since 1992, when the ensemble became permanent.
