Gabor Farkas is one of the most outstanding representatives of his generation, a widely acclaimed interpreter of the romantic repertoire, winner of several international competitions and frequent participant of the most prestigious musical festivals and concert halls all around the world. Till date there have been a number of recordings to his name published by such illustrious names like Warner Music, Hungaroton, Toccata Classics as well as Steinway&Sons Records. His exceptional talent and carreer achievements have been recognized in Hungary with Liszt and Junior Prima awards. Gábor Farkas is also a Steinway Artist, and recipient of the Aoyama Music Award for the best performance of the year 2019, Japan.
Currently Gábor Farkas is the Head of the Keyboard Department at the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, and a Guest Professor at the Tokyo College of Music, Japan.
