Eva Mei

When the Italian born soprano Eva Mei sung the role of Konstanze in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail at Vienna State Opera, the beginning of her international career was marked. Since then she is regular guest at Europeans most famous opera houses, such as the Scala Milan, Royal Opera House Covent Garden London or the Bavarian State Opera Munich. There she worked with celebrated conductors, such as Nicolas Harnoncourt, Claudio Abbado, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Colin Davis, Daniel Barenboim, Daniele Gatti or Fabio Luisi.

During the years, she made a name for herself in singing Alice Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff. Besides that, Violetta/ La Traviata, La Contessa Almaviva/Le Nozze di Figaro or Vitellia/La Clemenza di Tito belong to her repertoire. Current and future projects will bring her back to Opera Florence and Teatro Donizetti Bergamo to sing Leonora in Rosmonda d’Inghilterra. She will debut in Cartagena to sing La Contessa in Nozze die Figaro. Besides that, she will return to Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (Ballo in maschera) and to La Scala Milano to sing Rosalinde in Fledermaus.

Furthermore, Eva is also an active concert singer and performed amongst others at the Vienna Concert Hall, Salle Pleyel Paris or during the Salzburg Festival, where she sung e.g. Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle. This seanson she will return for Gala-Concerts to Seoul, Lugano and Okinawa.
