Éva Eckhardt

cello

Éva Eckhardt was born in Komárom. In 1987 she went to Győr to study at the Conservatory of Music, before moving on to Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in 1992, where she studied under István Csurgay, Károly Botvay and Sándor Devich. After graduating in 1998 she played in the Matáv Symphony Orchestra for a short while before making the first of her appearances with the Budapest Festival Orchestra that same year. She has since become a regular contributor to the orchestra’s concerts both at home and abroad, and since 2007 has been a member of the ensemble’s cello section.
