We asked members of our audience why they enjoy going to the concerts of the Budapest Festival Orchestra. No one could have said better what makes the BFO the BFO than you. Thank you!
It is a special and uplifting feeling to watch and listen to such a creative and charismatic individual – Iván Fischer –, and to the musicians of the orchestra, who are not only virtuosos, but play from the heart and soul.
For me, the experience is unlike any that another orchestra could offer. It relaxes me, stirs me, frees me and amazes me. They are the gold standard.
Pure, sincere, extraordinary.
They are like one big family, in perfect harmony with their outstanding conductor, playing from the heart and the soul.
Their music sweeps you away, creating a bubble which embraces the orchestra and the audience, allowing us to experience the catharsis of music.
Because it pleases my soul.
Because they are professionals.
They play quality music, and their performances are truly unique.
They create magic.
Glancing up at the ceiling in Müpa Budapest, I am carried away to another magical dimension: the world of MUSIC.
They are simply enchanting. One can only use superlatives to describe them.
They break you free from your daily routine.
I dream with my eyes open while listening to their music.
I get to hear wonderful music, which warms my soul.
Because the audience becomes one, breathing together and listening to the music with their mouths open, enjoying the enchantment.
They are unique. Their sound is special. They are an orchestra with incredible character, who do everything just one notch better, and more beautifully and more purely, than any other orchestra in the world. (Over 43 years, I have lived in 7 countries on 4 continents, but their professionalism reminds me above all of the Solti-period of the best years of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.)
Because they enchant me and free me of all my troubles for a good couple of hours!
