Conductor change on 23 March

We are sorry to announce that because of health reasons, Iván Fischer will not be able to conduct our concert on 23 March (Saturday) with the Budapest Festival Orchestra.

Dear Music-lovers,

We are sorry to announce that because of health reasons, Iván Fischer will not be able to conduct our concert on 23 March (Saturday) with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. However, we are delighted that the young Hungarian conductor, Gábor Káli can step in with an unchanged programme. He ended the 17/18 season on a high note with winning the prestigious Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award. He has also won Hong Kong’s first international orchestra conducting competition and the Orchestra Prize in 2018. In summer 2019 he will conduct the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna at the Salzburg Festival in concert as well as in a CD production.

Thank you for your understanding!
