Anna Lucia Richter was born into a family of musicians. Her mother, Regina Dohmen, taught her singing since she was 9 years old. Besides her school studies, she was a member of the Cologne Cathedral’s girls’ choir. Between 2004 and 2008, she worked with Kurt Widmer in Basel. She graduated in the summer of 2013, from the Music Academy in her hometown of Cologne. Though still at the start of her career, Anna Lucia Richter has many successes to her credit. In 2008, she placed second in the youth category of Berlin’s National Song Contest. At Bad Kissingen’s summer festival, she won the Luitpold Prize. In 2011, she received the Mendelssohn Award; and in 2012, she won the International Robert Schumann Competition in Zwickau. Even as a secondary school student, she could display her ferocious talents in many concerts and operas. Thus, the Budapest public has the opportunity to encounter a singer with great hopes of success – at the start of her career.
