František Chaloupka

František Chaloupka was born in 1981. He started his music studies in Ostrava, at the Janáček Conservatory, then continued them in Brno, he studied composition under Martin Smolka. He received a scholarship, which helped him pursue further studies in The Hague with Louis Andriessen and in Vienna with prof. Detlev Müller-Siemens. Since 2011 he has received a scholarship from the Czech Music Foundation. In the same year he founded the Dunami Ensemble with other young Czech musicians, the ensemble specialises in new and experimental music.
